The MAPPA partnership was created in 1998 with myself, visual artist Rachel Johnston and storyteller Richard Neville.  We have initiated the following projects and received grants to carry them out.

  • MAPPA is currently running a project 'Unpacking the Past' in collaboration with Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery.  The project will culminate in an exhibition and publication in September 2008.

 

  • Refugee Week, “We Have One Minute To Talk”, June 2001 SE Arts Grant recipient as MAPPA partnership to mark National Refugee Week through visual arts and storytelling activities, culminating in final document.

 

  • Maps for Life, Dover (South East Arts) 2000 Grant recipient as MAPPA partnership to work with Refugee Families and Dover residents on visual arts and storytelling programme culminating in exhibition at Dover Museum.

 

  • Arts Council ‘Visual Artists in Sites for Learning’ Grant Lewisham Bridge School Travellers Project - 1998 -1999 Grant recipient as MAPPA partnership (with artist Rachel Johnston and storyteller Richard Neville). Working with traveller children and their families in and out of the school environment exploring journeys and experiences through art and storymaking sessions. Culminating in installation.
